I decided I want an El Camino / Caballero again preferably white and 82-87. If any of you know the long time owner of an old cream puff of an El Camino in the same body style pictured above please let me know. I am willing to pay a finders fee in internet points.

My friend in Hawaii is obs essed with those, he probably has three at any given time. One is the mint keeper.

A woman I work with son has dozens of El Caminos. She has driven one similar to this to work a couple times, it was 2 tone blue . She said it has very low original miles, but it smells rather musty inside.
Similar to this:

What’s better than white? Two-tone!
Or if a floor shifter and bucket seats are more your speed, there’s this one:

I have a blue one that started life as a white one. It is not a cream puff, but it puts out. Everything is for sale, make me an offer.

My uncle in Hawaii just spent a ton of money and time having one restored.

What state are you in? If you're on the west coast ask if it for sale...

I think the caballero is on of the best named american cars. Just is a ton of fun to say.
One of our group of friends had an el camino in that body style, it was a blast. Lots of times with too many of us idiots in the bed hooning around causing trouble. Ah to be young before the internet was widely available (graduated in 03)

Probably not worth the trip.

$3, 000. Or $30,000. Depends on the day.

Let me know when it’s $3000 and I’ll send a truck, with cash. In reality what would it take to buy it off you on a bad day for you?(I'm cheap)

Well everything rusts, I don’t see many Datsuns anymore when I go back.

I don't know what it would cost. I suppose somewhere in the $8,000 range.

If it's rust free that seems to be about what it would be worth judging by your other posts, of course I never want to pay what a car is worth... If you were west coast I would seriously consider your car.

It’s rust free. Has a crate 350 with about 12,000 miles on it. Headers, Edelbrock intake and Holley Sniper fuel injection. I rebuilt the ent ire front end with all Moog parts, all new suspension including aftermarket rear sway bar and rear control arms, and it has an okay and hidden stereo. I know I couldn’t buy another in the condition it is in for $8000.
Could you even register it on the west coast with an engine swap and no emissions equipment?

Yeah I'm in Utah so it's rolling 30yrs old for classic registration and no smog and that sounds nicer than I thought too bad your so far away. If it were white or gold I'd be really having a hard time saying no, what crate 350 is it?

It is a Goodwrench 350/290 .

Ah man that sounds like a perfect daily driver. I am planning on taking this rig to Italy with me so I would want it as close to stock as possible for ease of registration there but otherwise I'd be all over this and trying to talk you down to $7000 even though it's worth $8000.
